Renewable Energy Alaska Project (REAP) organizes and hosts the annual Business of Clean Energy in Alaska Conference.The conference provides a venue for attendees to learn about and share information on the opportunities, benefits and challenges of renewable energy and energy efficiency in Alaska, and to network with those working in these fields locally as well as nationwide.
Past conferences have featured renowned energy efficiency and renewable energy experts from around country, including Dr. Dan Arvizu, Director of the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL); Hunter Lovins, of Natural Capitalism Solutions, and Bryan Hannegan, of Electric Power Research Institute. The conference is well attended by state policymakers, civic leaders, utilities, Native Corporations, businesses, and municipal and tribal officials.
REAP is an Alaska-based non-profit organization that promotes renewable energy and energy efficiency through education and advocacy. REAP is composed of a diverse membership that includes individuals, businesses, utilities, consumer and conservation groups, and state, federal and municipal entities.
